The observation of kinetic ar, the materialization of movement, combined with the desire to create a self-supporting linear structure, inspired the design of the Serpentine Table.
The base, featuring rectangular metal profiles that unfold in a sinuous shape, creates an engaging kinetic effect while stabilizing the overall structure of the table and providing the necessary ergonomics.
The top, available in various wood tones, was crafted with highly angled edges to achieve visual lightness and ensure the base's kinetic construction remains the focal point.
The piece produces an effect similar to that found in the work of artist Abraham Palatnik: an interplay of light and shadow, and a variation in opacity that shifts depending on the observer's perspective, the time of day, and the incidence of natural or artificial light.
